Clemson Postgame Party Thread

Dabo is class. He's always been gracious and complimentary towards us including after the 2017 upset, after the close losses in 2018 and 2022 and following the blowout beatdowns they've given us.
I lost a lot of respect for Dabo, when he was mad as hell when the second roughing the passer was called, even though the targeting was dropped - what the hell was he mad about?

To think Chesney was almost hired over him and Fran wasn’t even a real candidate until he made the call is insane to think about. I hope he stays forever. And all his comments about the community mean so much to all of us who literally live in the city. This guy just gets it
He’s the most authentic coach in football today. A lot of its bravado but it’s real.

We love him as much as he loves us. At least us real true die hard Syracuse fans do. Even the casuals really like him.

I was at Manley when the Beach Boys played there. Probably around 1971 or so. Someone in the crowd yelled 'Play Surf City!' At which point, Mike Love (I THINK it was Mike Love) castigated the crowd for its 'pig mentality'.

Never liked Mike Love.
especially after he used his eulogy of Brian to claim he wrote the entire lyrics of Good Vibrations. Al was so right in calling Mike a meglomaniac for that.

I think Collins can be solid but his passes just aren't as accurate as Angeli's.
We can't forget Angeli's adjustments between game 1 and 2, he settled, got the ball out and his confidence grew every play. Hopefully Collins can have that trajectory. I loved what Fran said about being able to go two deep everywhere and someplace three. Let's hope QB fit's that mold!! LGO!! Running backs need to step up and match the situation!!

Let's celebrate the win first, but also let's no oversell his sale job. We've seen both QBs so we can ignore his long ago coach speak when we were all in the dark. Angeli proved why he was chosen and it isn't any 51/49.
Angeli is composed, accurate, and put SU top 5 in nation in passing. Collins can and will improve but as of right now we all see his warts and shortcomings. We will see.
You're correct because you use the present tense. Angeli is composed - poised - but that wasn't true the first 3 quarters against UT. Issues against UConn, too. He looked like McCord today, and my point is that I expect the coaches will get that same poise out of Collins. His warts are there, yes, but so too were Angeli's. I'm pretty excited to see the improvement after lots of reps with the first team.
Mine isn't a Rickie vs. Steve discussion. That was over after Fall camp.

It's not context it's actual mechanics and accuracy. Angeli was playing a top 10 defense and still looked accurate. Collins just doesn't have the mechanics to be accurate. He will improve but we need him to play well next week and not in 4 weeks.
