I will never be a subscriber of the "they need to lose a game to get it out of their system" theory (in part because I think we'll stumble here eventually) but I do think that having a few more close games (while bad for my mental state) would be good experience for this team to have come tourney time.
I'm sure we'll have plenty by the time the season wraps up, but other than a couple exceptions (FL, Stanford, Marquette to some extent) we really haven't been tested down the stretch thus far. I'm anxious to see how this team responds when the outcome is up in the air with 2 mins to go. and someone needs to step up and be the guy/dude.
Not saying I don't enjoy the blowouts (I love them) but it's safe to assume we'll be in some tight games come tourney time.
