I like the concept they are selling. Now can they somehow connect a donation I would make for this so it would also count as part of my CAF membership level?

First let me say that I think this is a great idea to get some extra NIL money and to keep the fan excitement up leading into a bowl game. That being said, at $500 a pop, do they think they'll have enough interest on a Wednesday in Syracuse to make it worth their while? A Wednesday eliminates many out of towners from attending. $500 eliminates many others, especially the people who are spending their discretionary income on presents for Christmas the following week.

Christmas? It would make a great early Christmas gift.

For some, I suppose. I know in my case, it would be the first time I'd have received a Christmas gift worth that much. Hopefully for SU, I'm the exception and not the rule.

Guess little Johnny isnt getting a $500 gaming console this Xmas. Won’t be donating to Microsoft, too bad.

I think they priced it low on purpose in order to get a great turnout. In 2024, I was surprised it was only $500.
yea, you have to balance making it exclusive while also raising enough money. Typically the exclusive benefits are very high so this seems like an opportunity to do something fun at the bottom end that while expensive, is more attainable for a certain type of fan. Hope it does well.

a NYC version with FB would be cool. Couldn't do the practice but if you got a few of the big players to attend and used facilities SU already owns or get a donor to provide a space, i bet you could charge more and get a fun turnout. Syr. football is hot with alums right now.

How much was the Baskeball thing JB did?

I would think its much the same crowd?
Good point. I know they brought in celebrities to that in addition to players and auctions. I bet you're right that it's a similar clientele.

I think this is a great idea.

Wish I could attend.

The $500 Price-point is set because they’re looking for a certain type of clientele at this event.

They want you to spend that $500 per person and come with a blank check. Which is exactly what we need to help raise money for NIL.

They aren’t looking for the people who can barely scrape up the $500 to attend. They want the people who will spend $500 and not even blink.

I hope this is WILDLY successful

VIP ticket for the Basket Ball used to be $450.00. Regular admission was around $300.00.

Unlike the DART, this was tax deductible.
