CLUELESS

We get surveys all the time at work.. We have had companies come in to work to handle surveys.. They are almost all a waste of time.

I mean we took classes in college on building surveys.. Dont any of these places do that any more?

You dont just randomly ask questions.. You need to ask the question to get a result.

If you want to know how the food was, you dont just ask 1 question like did you see food was available,

the options are limited.. Some people want the quick food and thats fine. But many dont.

All we wanted was a quick hot dog and a drink. there were no dogs ready.. How is that even possible. Its a hot dog, you know on avg how many you sell, they can be made and prepped and kept hot.. the food crew was fighting over who could get the dogs coming out 1 at a time..

I dont know how people eat the pizza.. cardboard would taste better..

at least the food trucks have some variety outside in the quad.. Why not have a vendor take over a booth in the dome every week selling what ever it is they do in their truck.

They can start with that -ing train whistle when we score. Get rid of that first

Speaking of Wi-Fi, it must be location related. While I had zip for 5g my Wi-Fi was very very strong, never got booted, and was able to do and access anything I wanted on the phone.
I am glad someone is getting reception. I had to forget the OrangeHotSpot WAP to get even a trickle of info from my phones.

And I believe my seat is about 15 feet from a WAP.

Wifi works for me when the dome is almost empty. The solution they have is fine for a couple of hundred people. No question in my mind it is the same solution they have had for years.

When are they going to unleash the good wifi? Sofi has top notch 5G and wifi. We were led to believe the same solution would be installed at JMA.

Who has the straight scoop on JMA wifi?

Yeah my wifi is also equally terrible

The weird part is, all of least season, my wifi was great

I wasn't at Clemson (family friend used our tickets), but the in-game experience sounds equally awful to the Army game. The entire production needs to be completely overhauled. It's as if they are afraid of silence- you are constantly bombarded with ads, then piped in music that's too loud, then the PA announcer that's too loud, and the in-game host who you can't understand. I mentioned in another thread that we got earphones for my daughter and it was a lifesaver.

Like others have said, I don't mind ads- you have to pay the bills. But this is the first year in the 20+ years I've had preferred season tickets where I've honestly felt everything "around" the game (music, PA, etc) was interfering with the experience. Obviously I'm not as young as I once was- but looking at this thread it doesn't appear as though I am alone in my frustration.

I'll be at UNC this weekend, will be interesting to see the contrast, if any. I imagine some of it will be via the natural difference in an outdoor stadium...
Like with the LQA travesty it comes down to enough people complaining and big donors threatening for the AD to even blink.

5G is cellular data, the wifi has not been addressed yet. None of the 5G updates are complete, I believe the delays are all due to the carriers noted below need to connect the JMA dome to their respective networks.

"Adams said they hope that Verizon customers are able to access the network in mid-October. He said that AT&T is targeting November to install its equipment and that T-Mobile is looking to complete its work by December or the start of the spring semester"

that's all I got at them moment.

5G is both.. 5G wireless and 5Gcellular are different things.

The fact that they have gone radio silent for a month or more about this does make you wonder if Verizon hits the Nov install for games..

Time/MoneyEquipment/Manpower. Which is slowing this down?

Looking at the fiber thats still in my lawn since May how hard is Verizon working to get this done?

Has the paper done an update since Aug on the status? Has the school done an update in a PC?

You need to get the equipment on site, then install it, then test it. If its here thats a great step, if its installed thats a better step, if its being tested/tuned all the better?

That we have heard nothing makes you feel like step 1-2 is still happening. To hit mid October you would think they need to be in step 3 by now.

Then you look at the story and how they hoped to have it working by last year?

Rubin said the school has been working to create light shows that will be able to be deployed once fans can connect to the wireless network.

so why are they pumping the light show app if connection is required? Almost like they had a script written months ago and its never been modified with no wifi working?

probably supply chain.

I don't even bother connecting to the wifi anymore because it has never worked for me, unless I'm at a lax game.

I don't have much more to add to this discussion, but agree with just about everything that has been said in the thread. I had to bad mouth employee's, but something needs to change from a fan engagement/marketing perspective. We're not putting a horrible product on the field (I think 8-4 is something we wish we could achieve every year). Now lets make a great game day environment so people don't want to stay home and watch the games.

the fact that we had to get JMA to go to 5g wireless to get cell phones to work in the dome shows the lack of effort SU has put into the problem for years. We got a crazy new roof, you dont think they could have added a couple cell repeaters up there and no one would care?

You would also have thought the new wireless bands that the cell companies have started using would have helped the problem but it didnt seem to do much .

I said the exact same thing. What are they doing cranking up the music now.
Watching other games Saturday night, I noticed that they don't crank out the loud music during the game, leaving it to the band to provide short pieces of music. Much, much better!
