That’s where I’m at. I don’t know if it will be a success or failure or somewhere in between. But I would be excited about it going in.

I think our job isn't as desired as much as we would have thought and hoped. Let me put it this way, if BH didn't want the job as badly as he does and wanted to pass on it, people here would be suicidal on the names I have heard.

The scariest thing about that would be that even the suicidal ideations names would all be far better coaches than what we have now...

I don't think this is a last stand sort of thing. It could be with the changing landscape. More of a last stand for me with my age. Most of you guys can have us miss this time and still recover. I only have 15 or so tournaments left.

BH will be the right hire if they get him. Like dasher says, if they don’t, buckle up. But I think the JW is making a big mistake by not getting rid of red before the season is over. The sooner it’s done, the more names you would get in the mix. Sure people know it’s coming, but getting the agents on the phone behind the scenes sooner than later can only help. Waiting does ZERO good. Yes red is a friend, but you’re paid to win and when players are getting ejected and you keep losing by double digits, it just isn’t a good thing for the program anymore. And I’m sure red doesn’t want to be there anymore considering he’s basically been told he’s done.

Yeah the last ditch run isn’t happening and you can just let Engelstad coach out the season. It was too early a few weeks ago but now there is zero doubt.

I also think people are just upset that the keeping it in the family thing didn’t work (we could return here sometime in the future you never know). It’s sad, we’ve pride ourselves for decades on the family. I mean Hodgson isn’t exactly a complete outsider anyway more like a cousin. It’s sensitive, but something that needs to be done. Just don’t be Dino and completely shut out the alumni. There is a blueprint on how to handle it. Ask Fran Brown.

I think the majority of us were long past that the last time. I think there are some who want Hop or Gerry. But they would have to be in the minority at this time. I would have to think.

I think he might. Let's put it this way. I don't think he is going to push for it. We all know BH really wants it. Gerry is on the other side of that. He thinks he can do better in a couple of years.
