Coach Search Options after Autry

I have no problem with that. But I think we are working it right now. It would be nice to have the AD in place.
Do you know why Wildhack chose to retire at such an inopportune time? Was it simply personal?

I believe the rev share will be 3M ish. Would need $10-$12M total. So you’d $7-9 NIL.
Hodgson’s hire will spark a NIL surge, imo. Also I’ve heard the revenue share for basketball will be $4 million.

I think he would have to be really convinced. And I don't know this, but since Bh is a Lally sponsor, I think melo just might be a little chapped that his name is below theirs on his bg.
OK? so if Hop was hired, no prob with name above. That is puzzling to an adult mind?

It's a rare scenario where it actually is a matter of the school just saying he's our guy. If the money is right, he’s getting on the first flight to Syracuse. And we don't need a crazy amount to get him.

That's why the pressure on the University to make the right decision is so immense.
It'd be the equivalent of missing a dunk. Not that we know what that's like, right?

Looking at those schools, it’s actually a good year to be looking for a head coach.
Would be extremely disappointing if BH ends up elsewhere. If he really wants the Syracuse job, is he gonna go to those other schools when Syracuse could offer the same, if not more?

First we had to hire Hopkins because 30 million
Now we can't hire Hodgson because there is going to be a bidding war

???
No one is saying we have to hire Hopkins. Including me. I want BH. But some people on here are clueless (not directing that at you). You know how many schools have more money than cuse on that list that Norlander posted alone? Hmmm let’s see - LSU, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Arizona state and that’s not counting other schools that haven’t even fired their coaches yet. This is a top 2 coaching candidate free agent in AMERICA and you guys think he’s just about to walk on campus and the only issue that could arise is if the university “screws it up”… What is USF gives him a new deal? You guys act like that’s not a possibility either …

You guys think that these schools or others aren’t going to overbid to make it seem like they are taking bball seriously? I mean cmon common sense isn’t too present these days on here. You guys don’t think a school is going to offer a few million more a year than cuse and think BH is gonna take a cuse discount because he really wants the job. It’s not even a known fact he wants the job. Also, Not counting the lower income tax rates on top of it for those other states. This guy has insane leverage right now

That depends on how much of a national search we do. There's many other good candidates besides Hodgson, starting with Schertz. One thing that has distinguished Hodge is that he is a local and grew up an SU fan, but there are other quality guys out there that have been discussed here and at length in the ESPN article I posted here last night

Kansas state coach - $3.6m a year
Cincinnati coach $3.2m per yead
LSU coach - $2.8m per year
ND coach - $4m a year
OU coach - $3.1m a year
SC coach - $3.75m a year
ASU coach - $3.6m a year

And yeah all everyone keeps saying is “if Syracuse wants to be serious about competing, etc etc etc” they have some massive ground to cover and when have they EVER proven to pay for what they need ? But to think this is some sort of layup, you guys need to do some research because it’s not. And there’s not even an AD in place so these guys don’t even know who their boss will be !
