True Story as well: Our baseball coach at Oswego (Doc Nitardy) retired in the Spring of 86. At his retirement dinner at Vona's Restaurant in Oswego, Deane came and was buying drinks (including we players) for everyone. He had just been hired at Siena.
Jerry Welsh passed away a few months ago. He was a great guy and great coach.
 
While I only read a brief blurb about that, I'm guessing they are planning to use the savings in coaching salary to supplement as much of the $20 million revenue sharing as they can. So the potential coaches can decide if taking less themselves will help them be more successful in the long run.

This sounds like an NBA writer thinking he's smarter than everyone else. In 5 years they will be in the MAAC or whatever that league is changing its name to

JB could have made GMac lead assistant, but he just assumed he would get his way and was lazy about it, like many other things in his later years. And what narrative don't you believe?
