Coach Search Options after Autry

My guess would be it would be agreed upon but not signed until after USF would be eliminated. BH doesn't sound like the type of guy who would ditch his team
There is no reason for him to not coach USF. The portal opens after the tournament. I want USF to do well.

Not necessarily. In situations like this, you let everyone go. Gerry could always hire Kline back if he wanted. But you wouldn't want the new guy, Gerry in this case, being forced to fire Kline as his first act as Coach. His first act has to be hiring people. Having said that, I don't mean to imply that it will be Gerry. Just that the firing of Kline doesn't mean it can't be Gerry.
Hopefully firing Kline means they're hiring Hodgson! 😆

Guessing that Lally had his hooks in Lyke.

Other boosters had their hooks in Carparelli.

Since we went with a 3rd party candidate, none of the big money boosters have any influence anymore.
They'll soon realize that big money boosters always have more influence than those who sit out.

I would guess that these feuds are temporary and are being done to test Haynie and Blair's leadership skills, at least subconsciously. Wealthy people appreciate someone who takes charge. My (uniformed) take based on just watching wealthy people operate is that as soon as Haynie and Blair get everyone in a room and get them focused on what's good for the program, things will be fine. If not, the university made the wrong hires.

yea i think there's some trickledown.
When is that not the case? Especially in a private institutional setting with multiple stakeholders? Investors? Tremendously more in private equity? Especially key stakeholders? The chairman must be able to anticipate these things, no? Delegated authority to control matters, hopefully not at the whim of a publicly traded entity which this is not. This board is the equivalent of that. How about that for an analogy. Honestly the definition of insanity. I very much trust those who are in the know are able to bring under control such matters that were potentially anticipated or at least should have been. Right?

iPad and i got the “look” when i grabbed it. So i have to take breaks.
My wife has a vested interest with Gerry and Siena and she did watch the USF game with me last weekend. Hopefully they announce an agreement before waiting for the opening weekend of the NCAAT.

I think once Lally's wife didn't get Lyke, it resulted in Lally perhaps not approving Nick for AD, which then pissed off other donors. So no Lyke...no Nick...forces scramble for BB and results in both parties being pissed but now Lally supports BH. If I am understanding correctly. It's not a money issue with BH BUT perhaps the donors who backed Nick are playing hardball and if BH gets hired they pull football Nil.
I am just spitballing here between all the comments and what's maybe implied in between the lines.

Edit: ah just seeing additional inputs from Richmond and others.
The donors should realize it’s not only the Lally’s who want Hodgson. They need to read the room.

Accurate. It’s baked into the cake. These guys are also all 20-30 years older testing a new leadership crop of 40-50 year olds running the school. BH is even younger than Fran.

yeah that’s it- it’s a social experiment funded by the Carnegie institute.
