Coach Search Options after Autry

Don’t forget he played at Hamilton College.
Yes, so some ties to Upstate. I’m just finding him intriguing because of his approach to analytics etc. he checks a lot of boxes… has turned around multiple programs, has head coaching experience, Knows Upstate NY, and has a connection to BB.

I for one am really glad we hired BB! We needed outside perspective. It’s what we all wanted. I hope he comes in and says look, I’m the AD, you hired me, it’s my job to find the “BEST” head coach available for the Syracuse Univeristy Men’s Basketball Team! That’s it. I did my search and this is who I fell is best for the future of our basketball team!

This really is the answer for basketball and football. He needs to come in, immediately do what he thinks is the right thing based on his experience, and hold strong. Then he will be judged on the results. This is not a time for indecision.

Yup and if he ruffles feathers and some money we thought was coming in is no longer coming in then it’s on him to get it back.

I don’t know where you guys are but these girls scouts are making a killing on these damn cookies. If we got in on that hustle we’d have 20 mil in nil easy for all our sports

The more I read and learn about Kyle Smith, I’m a little intrigued….

University of Richmond head men's basketball coach Chris Mooney referred to Smith as "the smartest man in college basketball. I think he has the best feel and overview of basketball programs and coaching of anyone I've ever met.

His coaching style has been dubbed “Nerdball”, which is a system that utilizes analytics to track and make decisions on many aspects about the team.

While at Saint Mary's, he played a role in building the Gaels program into a perennial contender in the West Coast Conference. In his nine seasons with the Gaels, they made three NCAA Tournament (2005, 2008, 2010) appearances and earned one National Invitation Tournament (2009) bid. Saint Mary's averaged 23 wins over his last six seasons on the staff, including an 81–20 record over the last three seasons.

I’ll be honest, didn’t know much of Kyle Smith, but after reading a bunch about him, he seems like a very good coach!
.577 winning percentage. No. No. No.
