The $30M that’s been mentioned for weeks is supposedly over 3 years. $10M annually is the bare minimum for teams next year. Considering that I imagine some of that $10M would go to funding the school’s $4M in direct compensation then it seems far less impressive.

Right he is winning the MAAC with MAAC level players. And quite frankly was a miracle that they won 3 games with 3 big men. Also was genius coaching move to put Folefac (a PF) on the MAAC POY to shut him down. Its nuanced things from watching Siena that make you realize that Gerry is a good coach. Whether it translates to the ACC who knows?

Yes. This is the new normal. Need to get used to it. Coaches matter, but players matter more. If you can’t get good players, it really doesn’t matter how good your coach is, there will be a ceiling. We don’t have the money. We are a mid tier program.

Look what has changed in the past 2 weeks that could change a years worth of planning. New Chancellor, New AD, infighting over who has a bigger bag and who is more important. And Lyke not being involved the same way.

I’ve always liked Hopkins as a coach and let’s be real here is kept a lot of players on board when they wanted to leave our team because of JB a lot of people have a short memory here about what Hop has done for the program.
