If you’re assuming that SU follows a process that produces a preferred candidate and then that candidate gets hired you’re more than likely wrong.

TLDR- The old man said. I've talked to the AD and talked to the Chancellor "about some things" clearly implying hoops coach, He said it's the AD's call and he'll be held responsible. It's all on him. Lot of good candidates.

Considering GMAC didnt even get a whiff from SU when JAB retired, I doubt JW is advocating for GMAC.
Hell, GMAC hire is literally going against what JW wanted.

Blair and GMAC have one thing in common. The position Blair is in with this hire and the position the university put GMAC in when I'm sure it was quite clear who always should've been the successor.

What is considered "up and coming" if not a young coach that's won 20+ games each of his first few years?

But did JW make that decision 3 years ago or was he told by KS or the BoT that that was going to happen. For DEI reasons or otherwise, or to just not let JB have who he wanted.

Also, I'm sure JW has a sense of the growing fan support for GMac and how it will be perceived in the national sports media if we don't.
