Agree. Ridiculous take. A lot of fans are tired of legacy hires. GMac may be a good coach but being a legacy hire he will not have a grace period from the fans. A majority of the fans advocating for him now will turn on him as soon as he has a losing season.

Sat and watched the entire VCU/UNC game yesterday with the radio play by play guy for St. Joes. He didn't have any inside info on coaching vacancies. He did say one thing's for certain; Murray is who the coaching circles rave about being the real deal, which he also believes. I know that's been said here, but it was cool hearing that from him.

Very cool guy, and man he can rattle off all stats and personal details on kids abilities and habits, and coaches in his league.

As someone said earlier, I think it is a lot like Lucy always pulling the football away from Charlie Brown.
GMAC really really wanted the job when JAB retired and I think it really gutted him that they wouldnt even take him seriously.
Given that, would you be actively looking for this job?
