I am going to say i would take mystery man over any P-5 coach we could get that might be calling. I think when this is all said and done. What was said about Hodgson and Syracuse will not look very smart. If it is Gerry, he will have a boatload of money behind him. If it is the mystery man or I guess a guy I haven't heard since what Tramel said is news to me, we will look very good.

I’m sure it will be spun and someone like Goodman will take credit for lighting a fire under the donors asses

I think we’re sitting pretty with option #1 & #2 for different reasons. I think #2 is a much better and proven coach and could be a long term option. And that’s not to say Gerry can’t accomplish all those things here as well.

I agree. But I was told it was down to two. That might be wishful thinking by the people who told me that but what Pete said scares me a bit that we will have too many choices.

I graduated from Newhouse a long time ago. I don't mind the question at all. I have said this a number of times but I never set out to get information. Somewhere along the line, people from all quarters began telling me things. From all over. The athletic dept. the media. Nothing I ever set out for. Being retired now, I am finally going to use my Newhouse degree to do a baseball podcast. In a million years I wish the same thing would happen with that.

No idea. I think it has to be somewhat soon. If it is Gerry it would have to be Monday or Tuesday. But now that others care calling according to Pete, your guess is as good as mine. I only know what I was told. And that was that it was down to 2 and that it was Gerry or the mystery man. It seems with Pete that might have changed. I would take Mystery man over any P-5 coach that we could probably get. But that is just me.

You’re scaring me a bit Dash. You think we might pass on a high quality, proven P5 coach to get some additional nil. That seems really shortsighted to me. We need as close to a sure thing as we can get. Not a time to gamble on potential if we have a proven option.
