Not going to be Oats he has 10 million dollar buyout. While I think we will pay a decent/competitive salary and staffing salary and maybe even a small buyout. Also seems we are upper middle class in NIL and growing. I don't believe we will be dishing out 10 million for Oats.

Is there any rev share payout dependent on tourney results?

Yes. Every tournament win earns the conference a unit. These units are paid out over a 6 (I think - maybe 5) year period. This year's units are worth about $350K per win. So over a 6 year period, the conference earns about $2M. The ACC determines how those monies are distributed.

Insiders in this thread have a track record. That's why people look to them for any information they can share.

This is why many people have stopped sharing insider stuff. Sometimes things change. Sometimes they're wrong. But the "You were wrong" stuff won't fly here. Put them on ignore. Then you won't see what they post.

But if you feel the need to call someone out, do it somewhere else.

I graduated from Newhouse a long time ago. I don't mind the question at all. I have said this a number of times but I never set out to get information. Somewhere along the line, people from all quarters began telling me things. From all over. The athletic dept. the media. Nothing I ever set out for. Being retired now, I am finally going to use my Newhouse degree to do a baseball podcast. In a million years I wish the same thing would happen with that.

I’m a huge baseball guy. Love for the Yankees is arguably more than for Syracuse. You’ll have to let me know when the pod comes out. I’ll give it a listen.

Blair doesn’t really know about our culture yet to understand who we need that’s my concern…gross made the same mistake with Greg Robinson and look how that turned out…

On the flip side there are Syracuse lifers, involved with the program for numerous years, and are familiar with the culture who vouched for and backed Red as the coach.

Of course it is. Some clowns (and that includes some on this board) who say Cuse isn't still a great destination are just not smart. Simply because we haven't performed well in the last several years doesn't mean that our program isn't still attractive for a new coach. When we start winning again, watch the flood of people who come back to the dome. It has something very unique that other programs (even ones that are elite) can't produce.

Phjil , because of our recent squabbles I was biting my tongue when you kept saying that Gerry waas already the coach. Now, he still has a good shot here because no kidding, the money is coming from everywhere for him. I just don't know if it transfers to anyone else. Including my mystery man target who I think is special.
