It is definitely chicken and egg. However, using your example of the amount of money you helped raise for NIL, that is not going to make much of a difference in a prospective coach's decision. We need corporate or several large donors' commitments and I suspect that JW has secured some commitments behind the scenes. The potential for 30,000 fans is unique to Syracuse and is a big draw for a coach, in my opinion. I am not buying what some people are saying that suggests that we are not a top 10 attractive job in the country for a new coach. It's a perfect situation. You come in after the guy who did not succeed after a legend. They're probably going to pay a lot because the AD cannot have another bad hire. And the NIL money will be more if the big donors see a proven winner. This is a swing for the fences type hire and I am optimistic.
