LOL
This is like getting the thumbs up from gonorrhea.
LOL
So a couple of things.
JB has a long memory. Post game comments by Oats in 16&17 were bookmarked in his brain and the story about Trey Autry added fuel to his fire. He was not going to give his blessing to Hodgson and he still has friends who are donors. Hodgson felt unwelcome and bolted.
Don’t know how much JB would have supported guys like Schertz, Martelli Jr Skinn etc…but I don’t think it mattered. I don’t think Shertz was getting the money he wanted to leave and the rest don’t move the NIL needle like GMAC. If his NIL is north of $12M than he’s going to be really good shape. I don’t think BB had too many options once the Hail Mary to Schertz failed.
JB came to the table with a gut shot straight, and hit it on the turn when Gerry won the tournament.
Hop is NOT coming back to be an assistant coach. Would he come as part of the GM staff?!?! Doubt it, but don’t know for sure.
I assume Kiyan and Sadiq are wanted by Gerry. Would not be surprised if Betsey and Kingz are as well - though Kingz waiver would have to be pursued.
Donnie’s the wildcard. No idea. I bet Hodgson makes a run at him.
I don’t see George here next year.
Gerry desperately needs a PG m, PF and a Center. And another shooter if Kingz isn’t.
I find it hard to believe Siena would hire a guy with Blackwells resume. Guess we wil
Don’t take Ben from Siena tooI hope he brings Ben Lee. He was on Hops staff in Washington.
Has the most responsibility of all the assistants- he is the scout team coach, recruiting director and coaches the guards. Came up with putting Folefac on Kennedy in the tournament final, and literally stayed in his office from the time they learned Duke was the opponent till the next morning literally analyzing Duke’s games to present the staff with all the potential weaknesses they could exploit to win.
JAB actually liked Hodgson and I have it on good authority that came directly out of his mouth. It was 100% as soon as JAB got involved and forced Hodgson out. People who can't see that are really confusing to me.
Made the ncaa tourney and almost beat the 1 overall seed with 5 players. Was this sarcasm? What did he do last month?
Read Jake’s latest post genius.Which one was it, we stated we were moving on or we offered and he declined? And where does JB fit in? Please tell, Presumption? Fact?
Might be an accounting nightmare, as NIL is not tax deductible.Best idea in the whole thread.
Jake just said the oppositeJAB actually liked Hodgson and I have it on good authority that came directly out of his mouth.
I will renew mine tomorrow.I’ve looked into season tickets
Thoughts on staff Gerry goes with?So a couple of things.

#InsiderWarsJake just said the opposite
Wegmans folks, what type of return would that be if 20% of the people at check out opt in?Best idea in the whole thread.
I had heard he turned down job offers from both Georgia Tech and BC.So…does anyone know if other schools were interested in GMac?
I’d suspect there were.
Generally agree with you. Too early to tell if Blair is an upgrade from Wildhack.Big picture. Long read coming.
1- GMac wasn't my top choice. But the dude has proven he can coach. I am hopeful.
2- Annoyed that donors threatened to hold $upport hostage if they didn't get their way. But they did. Now we have the money. Hearing in the range of $12 m per. Spend it wisely.
3. Syracuse has massively upgraded its leadership from their predecessors years ago. Haynie, Blair, Fran, and GMac are all big improvements from their predecessors IMO.
4. Now is the time to come together as Orange fans. We all had opinions. I'd say Syracuse hit home runs on 2 of these 3 hires, with the 3rd looking like simply a base hit. Which ain't half bad.
5. The time to have strong opinions was before the coach was removed, and before a new one was hired. You can choose to be an angry SOB for years hoping to be proven right, or support the team now. You will either have joy, or you can just be proven right later.

What just about to post this. He’s a star from what I hear.I hope he brings Ben Lee. He was on Hops staff in Washington.

I don't have a problem with Kyle. I thought he had a good year for us. Now, George, that is different storyI know. I’m just saying that the influx of NIL that it sounds like is on the way hardly means anything if it’s not spent well. Again. We need to pay players better than the JJ, Freeman and Kyle’s of the world.
I'm glad the hire met your approval to continue your support....I will renew mine tomorrow.
