O, just re-read your comment and what you were responding to. I’m an idiot.Yeah that I know. I was questioning the A-10 in connection with St Louis loss to URI and upcoming game with VCU.

The NC State Keates miracle run to the final 4 situation taught every major P4 program a lesson for the modern era.I don't think you have to worry about that scenario lol
Obviously wouldn't happen but are you saying if SU were to run the table in ACC tournament and miraculously run to final four, that you would fire Autry? The NC State Keates miracle run to the final 4 situation taught every major P4 program a lesson for the modern era.
Enjoy the Tourney run but don't make rash decisions on keeping or even extending a coach you were going to fire. It's sports, there will always be miracle runs but the coaches are still going to be the same coaches the next year.
It bought him a year and they were right back in the same boat.
Yes. That's my point. If anyone learned anything from the Keates situation that's what should happen.Obviously wouldn't happen but are you saying if SU were to run the table in ACC tournament and miraculously run to final four, that you would fire Autry?
Keatts run was a little different because he had automatic extension written in his contract for winning the ACC tournament as well as raises for his NCAA tourney runThe NC State Keates miracle run to the final 4 situation taught every major P4 program a lesson for the modern era.

ahh yea good point.Keatts run was a little different because he had automatic extension written in his contract for winning the ACC tournament as well as raises for his NCAA tourney run
Red should have to win Syracuse a Natty to keep his job for another year. I would love for Red to go out on a good note. I have zero trust that even if we find ourselves with success in the ACCT that it will turn into a consistent successful product, and for that Syracuse needs to move into a different direction in basically all scenarios. A natty though, yeah let’s see what happens next season with Red. Syracuse should be a consistent successful product. If by some generational if not biblical miracle we won out thru the ACC tournament, Red still should be let go.
I know you're joking, but I watched most of last night's St. Louis game and even though they lost, I felt he outcoached the RI coach. By that I mean that St. Louis had a lot more open, good shots. Rhode Island benefited from a guy who is normally a mediocre 3-point shooter hitting 9 threes for a very high percentage, many of them very difficult.Schertz losing to URI clearly knocks him out of contention for Syracuse. We can’t have our next head coach losing games.
That means our candidate pool is down to Travis Steele as the sole candidate…….
Someone brought up this stooges name. This guy is a weasel. Look how he gas lights this guy with the “raise your voice” comment. Chip is the one that went back at the reporter. Not the other way around. What a coward. Takes real guts to go after a kid reporter. Loser. Never even consider this stooge , please
But I still think your point stands. You need to look at big picture when evaluating coaches rather than a small sample size. Quite frankly, that's why we got into trouble in the latter part of the JB era. We had a couple nice NCAA runs but when you look at the overall picture, we were slipping for several years.ahh yea good point.

True. I think that the biggest difference back 10 years ago (even beyond the 30 year HC) was that the prospect of a complete rebuild was really scary. No portal or NIL, not to mention a rookie coach facing off against like 5 other HoF ACC coaches and 5 other ACC coaches with 10-20 years under them. But I still think your point stands. More attention nationally is being directed at the failure of the Syracuse program like on PTI and things will likely only get worse as the loses pile up.Kornheiser and Wilbon weigh in on Syracuse. Something really wrong...

The Michigan analogy is accurate, and my wife/kids (who all went to Michigan) remind me that change can be quite good.
Lots of Boeheim in this exchange from last night!I’d say Cronin will be fired if he keeps it up, but signed that extension and has an insane buyout.
