It's probably the definition of "dead end" that's in dispute. I take that to mean a school where (a) it's extremely hard to win at, and (b) there's little track record of anyone moving on from there to greater success somewhere else (within the past 20-30 years!).
BC hasn't made the tourney since 2009. They guy that had success, Al Skinner, went on to flame out spectacularly at Kennesaw State.
Since then every coach has been a failure both at BC and in their next gig (Donahue at Penn, Christian at Canisius, Grant).
Obviously it's a better gig for Hop than being in low-impact roles with NBA teams. But BC seems to definitionally be "dead end".
