I also don’t think people realize how quick this program can be turned around. Kids still want to play here….its not like we are getting no talent. Hell, Freeman was a top 10 recruit, Anthony (who was gonna come here no matter what), Sadiq, Starling (obviously local connection) are all top 40 recruits. Kids still want to play here. What kid would not want to play in front of 30,000+ fans, show them videos of the Dome rocking. The Duke-Cuse game in 2013…Melo played here, you have the Melo center, rich history, it’s obviously proven you can win alottttt here and win a championship and get drafted. We are a dormant giant right now and I think most people around college basketball know that. Just need the right coach. Schertz and Hodgson would be that….yoh get either one of those and I bet we are a top 25 team literally next year. Hell Tai Bell is a top point guard in the 2028 class and I’m sure he knows Autry is not gonna be here and he’s still visiting next week. This program can be turned around real quick. It’s just really stale and dormant and no energy right now. Just needs a shot in the arm

Absolutely. With the right coach, we will be back quickly. Michigan is a perfect example of that.

The favors come in the form of a paycheck. JW announced his retirement, he literally doesn’t care when he announces Red is fired. The school feels after the season ends is the correct time to go public.

Like I said I am sure they have told Red already but they need to make it official already and he can coach the rest of the season if he wants

If Hodgson ends up here. We are going to get serious talent. He’s a really good recruiter. We’ll see what assistants he gets too. He needs at least one closer on staff. If we keep ONE person on this staff I wouldn’t mind it being Straughn. He is a young coach and a really solid recruiter.

Also I’m good with getting rid of EVERYONE else. But wouldn’t mind if we kept Anthony (just perception wise would look bad if Melos kid transferred). Keep White as he’s an athletic freak ooozing potential with the right coach would killlll it. White is also a good defender, hustled and brings the energy which we need in this program. And keep Kingz if he gets another year. Everyone else, respectfully I’m fine if they leave

Im I’m not sure Red is gone. Two years left on his contract plus buyout. Might be too much for SU to swallow and if NIL is increased?? The the save double salaries. Bring in$$$ studs and win. Perfect. Not my choice, but is Hop a better option?if they are not going all in!!!

Genius decision, like why didn't they go with 3 years, make the tourney any of those you get 1 or 2 years added? You can tell me the people on the hill are smart but this does not help their cause.
