Yesterday, Schertz and SLU got rolled by George Mason by 29.

Today, Hodgson and USF, play Charlotte at 2 pm and are favored by 16.5.

GMAC won by 5 and the Hopkins led team was scratched in the paddock.
The coach of George Mason, Tony Skinn, I first mentioned in late January. He’s only in his 3rd season and has a 70-29 record (.707). He’s young - 43 and appears to have a great future and will probably be in play for some higher profile jobs soon.

Interesting.
He declined the job or an interview? I assume an interview. If so, that's embarrassing.

I would reincarnate Ted Bundy and hire him if it meant winning again
I said earlier that I'd be okay with hiring a slimeball if that meant winning at a high level again. However, I think I'll draw the line on serial killer.

Oh my

You know who else is going to appreciate that style of play? Orange Nation. They've been waiting for an excuse to pack the dome like it's the late 80's and early 90's. To get back to 25,000+ screaming lunatics every single game. The Loud House.

USF is averaging 3512 fans a game this season. Hodgson is jonesing at the thought of packing the Dome and chants of "Let's Go Orange!!!".

Carparelli will need to put a line item in the budget for a new roof after the current one goes into orbit.

A deal for Schertz would already be done where ever he is going or he is betting on himself. He isnt taking a job to take a job. It will have to be the right job in his mind to leave.
If we really wanted him, I do think we could make a play for him with the right pitch and NIL package. We have some pretty powerful alumni with pull (Melo, Tirico, JB) who I think he’d pick up the phone for and listen to what they had to say. But they’d all have to be rowing in the same direction, and I don’t know if that’s the case here, at least at this point with Saint Louis entering the post-season. So Hodgson seems like the best fit for someone we want and someone who wants to be here.

He’s said mean things apparently.

We literally have a mural of JB downtown.

I can forgive an errant comment or two if we can get back to winning
Boeheim:

Two probations
Surly personality
Hired Bernie fine who may have been a bad guy or was just improperly outed

I’d take it back for 20 wins again.

He may already be "signed unofficially" with another program. It is said by many that we reached out, so maybe that deal is with us; if not, then he decided, or we decided, it wasn't a good fit. I think Schertz is the #1 coach on the market, but I don't think he is in play for us.

Are the Lallys the acting ADs? Hilarious and sad
Watching their game now. Very entertaining. Spread out and lots of threes. I think they have about 300 on the season! Will set school record for wins this season. Two ACC coaches down today so he won’t b available long.

Just found this article with some very interesting info and details

from your lips to God's ears.

please

ACC tourney locks:

Duke: 3rd year coach
UNC: 4th year coach
Virgina: 1st year coach
Louisville: 2nd year coach (but made it his first year)
NC State: 1st year coach

Should be in:

Clemson: Brad is old af
Miami: 1st year head coach

Don't listen to anyone who will say tournament next year, or at the VERY least year 2, is unreasonable. No matter who the coach is the expectation is clear and more than reasonable
Michigan canned Juan Howard after his last place 8-24 season, then went 27-10 and now they’re in first place at 28-2.

Big change can happen relatively quickly.

I just can't believe we have a coach leading our program who actually thinks we've made progress over the last 3 years. Even worse, dude actually said "we had a really good year" in his first year, when we missed the NCAA tournament. Unbelievable. We can't move on fast enough.
What should we expect him to say? He’s trying to protect himself: Wants to keep a three million dollar job. Knows he most likely can’t, but wants to keep positive words in the press to have a better chance at a next job. Wants to not make the kinds of declarations that could be interpreted as grounds for firing him with cause, and invalidating his buyout? I’m sure he has been in touch with his attorney and agent and they advised him to not say, “Yeah, we sucked out loud and it was entirely my fault. I’m irredeemable, and the program—any program, in fact—deserves more than what I am ever capable of delivering. I really didn’t even know where I was, most days. I think there’s something very, very wrong with me.”

She's headed to SeaWorld after the game.

Murray is too much of a risk. Can’t hire an assistant.
What if Murray brings an experienced former HC as his top assistant?

Lots of assistants have gone on/up to be great HCs. It’s just that we made a bad specific choice, but should that poison the well for everyone?

Just asking for the consideration—I have no personal strong feelings. I don’t watch any other CBB and I’m only (barely) familiar with the names from these threads.

What if his string of victims sorta kinda maybe deserved it? Like a Dexter-type situation? Beloved by friends, family, and colleagues, good professional man, but… he has a Dark Passenger, and he takes out the bad guys that the cops can’t get to when the system fails?

Think about it.
