He’s repeating, and it’s very funny because it’s precisely word for word what was said on the Curry Hicks Sage podcast last night. He didn’t even try to change the phrasing to make it sound like his own. Anybody can listen to it, and you’ll find exactly where he’s getting his “info” from.

Don’t put any stock into it because the host who does the podcast has been wrong about a lot of things and is known to be a tool for agents to use to push a narrative.

Oh, wow, so Curry Hicks is saying this? I had previous skepticism about Trilly and his connections with agents pushing certain narratives. But I don’t read his stuff because it’s all on a Discord subscription now.

Big deal, we all pretty much knew Schertz was likely holding out until a big Midwest gig opens up and Calhoun was always a shaky possibility at K State. I don’t for one minute believe that we told Hodgson our resources will be ACC bottom of the barrel or whatever. We were likely higher this year and that was with cheap ass Kent running the show at SU. Especially with the likelihood that Lally will be all in with BH. Anything can happen with these searches of course, including BH not coming here, but I cannot imagine him going to PC over the school in his home area that he has openly coveted in the past

They don’t need a collective. They can use as much of the revenue sharing money as they want since they don’t have football. If they’re serious they would do that. Folks have to stop confusing nil and rev share and total budgets.

Also, all of this money comes from the same place = wealthy boosters.

The direct payments that schools can pay to players is not going to come from their general fund or media revenue. Schools are soliciting donors to fund it.

NIL is also funded by donors.

When people suggest that hoops-onlies have an advantage because "they don't have to pay football" it ignores the fact that the money is all coming from the same place = people. Hoops-onlies are inherently smaller schools with fewer alumni that give.

Maybe a few hoops-onlies have a whale who's happy to donate $10 million a year, but I doubt it.
