Coach Search Options after Autry

With the rise of Vanderbilt sports, I have to imagine their NIL/Funding has to be better than ours. Maybe I’m wrong.
Oh I’m sure it is. Vandy has FU money. But Byington’s name didn’t pop up in rumors randomly. Again I don’t think he’s coming to this job, but he’s showing he’s a really talented coach and could end up somewhere else soon enough. He’s a program builder.

Is there a rumor he's a target or interviewed here?

Agree but it’s gonna stir things up. If we think people are gettin crazy now it’s really gonna get whacky.

Stir things up with the casuals maybe but not the people actually making decisions

Reposting this I found a while back. Buried in Hodgson's website he lists Syracuse as his favorite team growing up. Really hope we get a deal done with BH.

This is simple honestly. If McNamara never played here no one would be clamoring for the second year Sienna coach to get the Syracuse job.

If Sienna lost the MAAC Championship game the clamoring would probably be about 10% of what it is now.

Are people really wanting a coach simply because he played here and his team won the last game they played? Autry played at Syracuse as well.

Agreed. No one seems to be clamoring for Langel at Colgate and he’s accomplished more than G Mac coaching wise.

I like G Mac as an option down the road if he proves it, just not this cycle.

Would he financially commit to helping transform the program?
Or just get courtside seats with celebs?
Let's not go down this road again. He had committed to $1MM per year for both basketball and football. He was pushed out before That is at the infancy of NIL. I believe he would go higher than that now, if he was brought back into the fold. But, he would want to do things his way.
