Coach Search Options after Autry

It would be very popular among Syracuse fans that don't post on the internet, We tend to think we are the center of the Syracuse world. We really aren't. The guy walking down the street that doesn't post or live and die like we do, will be totally cool with a Gerry hiring. We won't be. But we aren't the majority.

In the past few days I have spoken with four "casuals" every one of whom fully expects Gerry to be hired, and none of them had heard of Hodgson.

What do you think the split would be? I lean 65% in favor of Gerry and 35% opposing him.

I said this privately but where does the agent want Hodgson to go? If he goes to P.C., he can flip Gerry to Syracuse. If Hodgson goes to Syracuse Gerry is at Siena again next year. I still think Hodgson goes to Syracuse but that does scare me a bit.

Not concerned. Agent has 2 lotto tix in his pocket. He can play them anytime.

What will be funny is when USF loses 1st round and GMaC beats duke

I do not think the agent will be deciding the destination of Hodgson. BH does not strike me as the type to take orders WRT his coaching destination and supposed dream job. Same applies to Gerry.

And I am still in the camp of believing there will be candidates slotted in ahead of Gerry in the pecking order. I don't think he has the proven recruiting chops, amongst a few other deficiencies at present, to lead the charge. And his hiring would be inconsistent with some of the key elements of JW's specific and pointed firing / search announcement.

I’d guess GMAC stays put until his dream job opens up or something in the greater NY/NJ/philly area.
