Or let the athletic professionals do their jobs and hire the best coach who, if he wins, will pay for itself 10x over.

I just hope it is somebody who actually knows how to coach, who gives decent even interesting interviews, can build a winning culture and can identify players with not only talent but the character you need to maximize that talent and be part of a team.

I can understand casual fans wanting Hop or Gmac because they know them as Syracuse guys. But I just can’t understand boosters and SU stakeholders not wanting Hodgson, the hottest coach on the market who has a proven track record and is pretty much who the local and national media was advocating for us to pick. I’m sure the search firm we’re using has Hodge and Schertz as the number one guys we should target as well. Why would they withhold donations and resist hiring the best coach on the market out of spite for the Lallys? It’s totally self-destructive behavior.

We are so stupid. Luke Murray is the guy you hire if you go the assistant coach route, not Kimani Young. He’s the offensive mastermind, the one who convinced Hurley and Young to run a modern offense using analytics and to focus their recruiting around getting players who can play in the system. I also heard that Young is a volatile hothead like Hurley.

I want to put this out there because some of the stuff I’m seeing is mind-blowing.

The last thing anybody should be doing right now is sending rude messages to the Lallys.

You think things are bad now? You have no idea how much worse it would get if we lose them.

End of the day if one donor makes or breaks you it’s pretty telling you have some serious issues and I hope that encourages BB to push hard to ensure there is not so much dependency.

They put themselves in the spotlight and whether Melo was ok with it or not, having their name over his like was done is just very petty.

As harsh as it may sound I’d rather see it fail than have to be held up by one controlling party because that’s never a sustainable approach. I get the takes, even my own may be harsh as directed their way and that’s fine I’ll back off even if it’s just here unlike the barrage on social media.
