I guess. When I'm taking about taking a leap, I was expecting Bell to be lights out vs the likes of Colgate. He looks very similar to meBell at least is passing better and putting it on the floor.
JJ's defense is comical. He went backwards somehow.
He is athletic and has quick feet, why can't he stay in front of ANYBODY?Yea JJ is a huge disappointment thus far.
Hopefully Carmelo is keeping Kiyan from watching Cuse basketball this season.
YesIf we had this exact same group of players...but they were coached by a Tony Bennet, Jay Wright, Rick Pitino, ect...do you think we would be a lot better? Serious question
The fact that the last 4 matchups vs Colgate have produced 2 losses and 2 narrow victories tells you all you need to know about the most recent past and current state of Syracuse basketball. Kind of stinks we’ve been witness to the slow decline of a once great program.
It was our withering pressure D that led to his stumble.I love when a Syracuse Colgate game has to come down to hoping their player trips over their own feet on the final possession. That tells me we have arrived.
I know they'd play with more energy and with better fundamentals. If we had this exact same group of players...but they were coached by a Tony Bennet, Jay Wright, Rick Pitino, ect...do you think we would be a lot better? Serious question
Coming into the season it looked like Taylor would be the rotation guy and Moore would be the situational one, but Moore's winning the battle right now.The only 2 good things -
1. Choppa
2. Red showing a willingness to stick with Choppa down the stretch over the veteran guards. It tells me he will go with the hot hand
The offense runs through our friggin center because the PG can't create vs the likes of Colgate. Our D is awful but the O is getting a pass and it shouldn't. We have no motion, a lead guard who can only go right, a post guy who can't jump, we can't shoot FTs...I thought Red deserved a shot but this is getting worse...fast.
Yeah. Last year everyone was saying, give Red time to get his guys. We'll he's got his guys this year and we are somehow worse. I'll tell you that if we win less than 21 games this year...he needs to be on the hot seatOur D is awful but the O is getting a pass and it shouldn't. We have no motion, a lead guard who can only go right, a post guy who can't jump, we can't shoot FTs...I thought Red deserved a shot but this is getting worse...fast.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. I chuckled reading that, but inside it hurts.I love when a Syracuse Colgate game has to come down to hoping their player trips over their own feet on the final possession. That tells me we have arrived.
If Donnie was playing at the end, we probably lose. Jyaire was the only one doing anything. That was awful.
No chance Donnie plays here as a sophomore if Reds gonna bench him like that and keep him Benched when Davis plays that bad.
Kind of think we'll lose to Youngstown it's been so ugly.
I have ZERO doubt that Syracuse wins with ease if you flipped the coaches tonight. If we had this exact same group of players...but they were coached by a Tony Bennet, Jay Wright, Rick Pitino, ect...do you think we would be a lot better? Serious question
yes. They would not allow a team of theirs to play that kind of defense. If we had this exact same group of players...but they were coached by a Tony Bennet, Jay Wright, Rick Pitino, ect...do you think we would be a lot better? Serious question
There's no such thing as too many players. If we had that many good players, we wouldn't be beating Colgate by 2. We need players. We need guys to buy in and play to win basketball games for Syracuse University, not their highlight reel. Bell's hanging on the rim BS was for show, it was the dumbest play in 10 years. It turned a potential missed layup into a three point play. These guys need to want to win games. There’s too many players
Let's hope no recruit was watching this game.Hopefully Carmelo is keeping Kiyan from watching Cuse basketball this season.
Cooper Flag scores 45 against Syracuse.So...it's a win. Playing like crap. Hopefully we grow each game.
