Cornell Game Thread...

Evans goal on an alley dodge by Salcido who drew the slide. Evans playing his best game of the year so far.
He really is. Not trying to force things - letting the game come to him. Nice to see.

Ben won the faceoff clean again but got de-sticked from behind for the second time, has to pay attention. SU got teh ball back when Cornell through away the clear, Knight saved it but right to Bomberry. Cornell had no one in goal for about 7 seconds but SU couldnt get a good look. Timeout SU. 6-4 Cuse.

Did Evans get an assist for the Soloman goal?

SU winning at the X 9-3 but have turned it over 2-3 times after winning negating the advantage. SU 1-3 on the man up.

SU 5 unanswered in the 2nd quarter, Cornell held scoreless.

Need to come out strong in the second half and not like we did vs Hobart.

Cornell showing the likely blueprint to defend against SU in the future. LSM on Salcido and rotating between double polling the midfield (Mariano) or putting a shorty on Mariano who is overplaying his left big time. Mariano is going to have to develop a right handed shot quickly. Defensively for SU appears we stopped sliding to Teat which has shut off those cutters coming open. Cornell with some bad turnovers in the 2nd quarter and also hit the cross bar.

Not for nothing, but I think I want the ball in Trimboli's cross at the end of every quarter/OT. :D

Williams needs to give up the ball quicker after winning the faceoff. He doesn't protect the ball well -- just runs with it with his stick out straight -- and opponents know it.

Well the quick recap.
Ben is winning a lot of face offs, but needs stick awareness, they are coming for him.
Attack has 5 goals, Evans n Soloman 2 and da bomb with 1.
Then Mariano and Trimbo with 1 each.

Teat is distributing tonight, has only taken 2-3 shots. Bomberry is playing him.

Molloy has had some good saves.

Taking care of the ball aside from being desticked on face offs.

The D hasn't been that bad tonight actually. Some good off ball movement by the Cornell O.

The eraser doing good things.

Wouldn't be shocked if we get a decent lead into the late 3rd that we see varello take a couple draws.

Hoping Desko is having that discussion with him right now. Interesting half. Mariano struggling and Salcido really off his game (2nd year in a row vs Cornell) but SU still has 7 goals and could easily have 8 or 9 if Bomberry doesn't miss two doorstep looks.

then he needs the attack to show for him instead of setting up in a fast break

Really could use a 2-3 goal run here to start the quarter, could really break the game open

8-4 Solomon dodged from up top and the Cornell defender couldnt keep up, easy goal, penalty for a push waved off.
