Cornell / Maryland thread (the last game)

Tillman is 7-2 on Saturday and 2-5 on Monday.

Carc's point was that he has a week to prepare for Saturday but only a day to prepare for Monday and the record in each reflects that.

Given how well coached Maryland is, if Tillman had a week, instead of a day, I believe he would be better than 2-5 in championship games.

Funny how Maryland always get stuck playing the later game on Saturday.

And the sport would be worse for it.

It's undenaible. His record in May when not on short turnaround is God-like. The title game on one day's rest is an equalizer since nobody else has a coach as good as Maryland.

Another exacerbating factor is that Maryland has played in the second final pretty much every year. Teams in the second final have less rest and are 4-13 in the last 17 finals. I'd be pretty pissed if I was a Terp fan that they seemingly always get shuttled to that second semi-final (presumably because they are a ratings draw).

the correlation is to higher seeded teams winning. not the 2nd game. maryland happens to be more popular than most teams.

Schaller is an AA but Kirst has owned that matchup, at some point u gotta make a switch. Tillman with a rare unforced error
