Absolutely, and I’m not sure Petar will be effective against good teams. At least not this year.we need Lampkin vs better teams.
The Carlos experiment has to end.

They’re not doing their job if they don’tThere’s an 8.5 man rotation there if the staff wants to pursue it. But it means cutting big minutes for 2 current starters. And it means sitting a couple starters late if we need defense. Not sure they want to do that.
I don't disagree with any of that. Big question mark on whether Red can actually coach. We haven't got any better through 6 games. But you can't make snap judgments based on short term results. On the clock but not where you pull the plug this year. Unless it goes totally off the rails. Can't struggle against 4 cupcakes that we should have beaten by lots more. The Youngstown State was an embarrassment considering they got blown out by Ohio State the game before.
100% Someone said here and I agreed, the question on this season would be how long will it take Red to make that decision.Absolutely, and I’m not sure Petar will be effective against good teams. At least not this year.

He can't defend without fouling
Yeah, it makes little sense to me why the G rotation shouldn’t be Starling-Moore, with Taylor first off the bench (especially for D) and a smattering of Cuffe if we need energy.i was wrong when I said Carlos could play 10-15 a game, he needs to play 0 and be the 5th guard off the bench
JJ can't go 3-17 in any more games this year. There is no way you allow someone to miss that many shots in a game.I don't disagree with any of that. Well, by definition a two way player has to contribute on offense. Otherwise he’s a one way player, d only.If Donnie and Choppa can keep contributing and growing I'll be happy.
Lucas with not a huge showing on offense but he's maybe the best 2-way player on the team. Get Eddie healthy and sprinkle in some Naheem.
Actually, I think it was exactly what we needed to see. The freshman willed their talent against lesser skilled players. That’s exactly what you want to see out of your top end recruits. The freshman stole the night. We lose this game without them. Wow - that was not a pretty game.
LOL You would rather see someone else miss? Your best guy takes shots.JJ can't go 3-17 in any more games this year. There is no way you allow someone to miss that many shots in a game.
Yeah. Yet we know they make promises, etc. And while I could see them planting Carlos on the bench eventually, I think they’re fixated on Bell being a critical piece of this team. They’re not doing their job if they don’t
He’s Jimmy Jr athletically. That dog won’t hunt in ACC play.He can't defend without fouling
Yes, otherwise we lose our two big recruits. My biggest takeaway from the game is ———. Are we 100% sure Red gets a third year?
Might be a good time to start sniffing glue again on the day we play them. It will not be pretty.FWIW, Tennessee covered a 42-spread tonight vs.Tennesee-Martin. I'll guess we'll be 12 point underdogs.
Agree on Bell. They know the potential - they saw it last year. I’m just not sure you can get it out of him at this point. He’s either on shooting or he’s not. And if he’s not you can’t have his defense.Yeah. Yet we know they make promises, etc. And while I could see them planting Carlos on the bench eventually, I think they’re fixated on Bell being a critical piece of this team.
I don't know, maybe JB's got his back and is looming behind the reporters with a sack of tomatoes waiting to peg people when the question comes?Watching Reds post game and not a single question about point guard play. How is that possible?
For sure. I know why they don’t want to bury him, but he’s such a liability beyond his 3 point shooting. Ideally he’s a Vinnie Johnson type, but that ship sailed with his they’ve positioned him the past couple seasons.Agree on Bell. They know the potential - they saw it last year. He hasn't given one thing is six games. Not even one.Yeah, it makes little sense to me why the G rotation shouldn’t be Starling-Moore, with Taylor first off the bench (especially for D) and a smattering of Cuffe if we need energy.
Six games in and I don’t see what Carlos gives us at all.
That's fine. Short leash for Bell. No excuse for starting Carlos.Yeah. Yet we know they make promises, etc. And while I could see them planting Carlos on the bench eventually, I think they’re fixated on Bell being a critical piece of this team.
