Doesnt SU Athletics eventually have to put out some kind of statement? Its not everyday a nationally known athlete on one of the best teams in the country is just "mysteriously" held out of games....

Like someone said earlier this might not be a bad thing come March if we get Melo back. We have alot of tough games left that can really give Rak some time to develop and increase our depth even more. The question is can we still get a #1 seed and how would the committee rank us if we got Melo back, we were 20-0 with him. I would not want to be the #1 seed that got us if we do get Melo back and drop to a #2 seed.

Only thing I take from that is that he wasnt ruled inelegible. Not sure about anything else but some thought his "appeal" would get turned down and that would be it. It seems he has a chance to return this season at some point which while not great news, isnt bad news.

As long as it's before the NCAA tournament. It sounds like good news though. As other's have said, the fact that the door isn't slammed shut on his return is a positive.

Excited to see Rak build on the Cincy game. Also excited to see the team come out strong. I think the FERPA law might have some issues with that. We want to know, but legally, SU absolutely cannot divulge academic information in situations like this.
