If he was eligible he'd be playing.

Bees, maybe you can't say, but to me it looks like he is ineligible and he appealed that decision. Is this correct?

And, do you know if a decision was made and if the result was "get back in line" in order to be eligible which may take a while, OR is what Donna saying is that the decision itself will not come for a while?

I take that as good news. Meaning that they have left it up to Fabricio as to whether he can get his work done or not.

And if he's confident that he'll be back after the WVU game, then it's just a matter of getting his **** done.

The problem I have with your scenario "just a matter of getting his **** done", if there is still academic work that still needs to be done to become eligible, what the is he doing even practicing today?

He won't be back people. It's AO part 2. They just want opponents to think he can be back at any moment.

I think your righht...sounds like typical syracuse-speak to me

If he was ineligible based on grades would he have missed the game before ND as people have said? This makes no sense.

What good does this do? Its not like were going to puppet the ghost of Fab around to get a #1 seed a month and a half from now. The AO thing happened right before the tourney.

Does no good at all i thought we would know for sure by today, im so confused

That was a week before the tournament started.

We're still in January.

I have faith.

FREE MELO

For those of you saying as long as we get him back by the NCAAs, keep in mind that Melo isn't so good that he can just take a 5-10 game vacation and come back where he left off. His offensive game is still somewhere between non-existent and inconsistent.

One of the keys to our success in the tourney this year in my opinion was going to be his development to date plus his continued development over the course of the season. A big interruption in that development isn't good for our prospects come March.

How many FREE MELO t-shirts will we see at the upcoming games...over/under anyone?

what a meaningless statement - "could" is action-indefinite, "awhile" is time-indefinite

if she had tweeted what she ate for lunch it would have contained precisely the same amount of new information about Fab

We have a whole other post on this. She may indeed have already told us.

ND was the first game of the semester.

Additionally, what will become of his new found conditioning if he sits for 2 - 3 weeks or more?

That's my thought as well. He needs a lot of minutes to develop. Practice time isn't the same as game experience.

This whole thing is dumb. If the kid cant pass classes then what good does it do for him to be at practice? Shouldnt he be in the friggin library hittin the books? If he was skippinf classes constantly or not turning in work then he shouldnt be in school at all. What good does this limbo time do? or get off the pot!

I just realized this is a poll.

Poll choice in 2012! A choice you can believe in!

And AO was just going to be out for awhile too... :(
