Seriously, guys: If you haven't read the DO article yet, read it. Explains a lot. Great job here. DO scoops big Post StandardLove the new DO article that just got put up, where its noted that Coyle contacted contacts at MN about the job months ago, instead of the other way around. Nice work, Mark.

priorities...Gotcha, thanks. Haven't had time to go through the whole thread. Stupid job.
I guess I am in the minority again. Oh wait I'm a female posting on a male dominated sports forum. In this day and age, there is no way to handle it well. There's an old cliche, "its not personal, it's business". A lot of folks on this board take everything so personal. He took a job, and stayed for almost a year. Decided he could do better. For whatever reason, pay, hated the area, hated the people he was working with etc. I dont get why this board gets so emotional about people leaving for what they perceive to be greener pastures.
I guarantee you EVERYONE in this board would leave their current job for a competitor if they got a 20% plus raise. Every single one.

I feel bad his fee fees may be hurt.

From the DO story:No mention of Coyle's family issues from the President of the Univ or Coyle. Very rosy intro.
The Gophers have announced the hire, with a five-year contract paying Coyle $850,000 annually.

It means he hired a good in demand candidate who was/is getting opportunities elsewhere. Again, why take it so personal? Congratulate the guy and move on.do you think the boss who hired that exec is happy that the guy he just hired...quit??
I don't think so.
and as the AD of my school...that spineless mothaflucker works for 'me'...and now all that work and $$ spent to hire his lame arse is out the Fn window as we have to do this all over again.
him.
