Dude, you're just not getting it.It means he hired a good in demand candidate who was/is getting opportunities elsewhere. Again, why take it so personal? Congratulate the guy and move on.
I have been at my firm for a bit over a year. Since I have been here I have formally declined two offers of employment elsewhere. These were totally unsolicited offers made by people I have worked with in the past. I'm sure my boss would have been upset if I took one of those, matter of fact, I told him about the latest one and they made me a better offer to stay. He wasn't upset, he "gets it". It's not personal.
I'd rather hire really sharp guys that other people want as opposed to a bunch of bums no one wants.
and to add...at the end of the day...Syracuse > minny.Dude, you're just not getting it.
It not WHY, but HOW he chose to leave. No one is bashing him for grabbing a better, for him, opportunity, but you sound like a "Johnny-one-Note".
He could've handled it better, that's all. Its really not that hard.
He was my guy way in he beginning the last time. I still follow him on Twitter despite him not being of much interest to me now.
I'll take that as a sign...

Accountability? Responsibility? Transparent? Mr Coyle exhibited none of those things. No balls. A coward that couldn't man up.
But i dont understand why/how "he could have handled it better" affects YOU? Were YOU expecting a letter? A call? Does it really matter to you or the university that he called 10 minutes before the news was all over twitter? Who gives a . . . . ?? Thats my point. Why does everyone get so butthurt wheneveryone leaves. FHCDM left for an NFL gig and folks here still give him . . . . , its comical.
Well thank god we got some money back. Now we can start wiping the egg off our face and look for someone who can say "truth" and "stability" with a straight face.ahhh, the Minnesota state tax money being spent well I see
Yep I sure did . thanks. You forgot "patience"
well for someone who claims to be a professional and wants to promote stability, how he left is the antithesis of those valuesBut i dont understand why/how "he could have handled it better" affects YOU? There's an old saying; "Class/Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching".But i dont understand why/how "he could have handled it better" affects YOU? @syrbasketball
Coyle said he wants to building a "culture of accountability."
Why are you criticizing the victims here? The guy brought in as a solution bolts for more money after 10 months ... and you're surprised that people are upset? This was nothing less than a selfish, unprofessional stunt that belied all his phony "stability" and "truth" proclamations. The clown added insult to injury by blowing off an important conference meeting this morning. And you're wondering how he could have handled it better? Wow.But i dont understand why/how "he could have handled it better" affects YOU? Were YOU expecting a letter? A call? When did honor or decorum become an alien concept? I've hired and fired plenty of employees in my business, and there's a right way to handle oneself. I'm not personally butt hurt...it doesn't affect me other than as an SU fan. But is holding someone to high expectations of professional behavior unusual to you? Seriously? Again...not that hard. Oh Lord
Please Lord no. Guy can't even get the scheduling right and you want to hand him the keys to the Benz. No thanks.yep, I was big on Frazier when the job opened last time, definitely hope he is interested now.

The guy wanted to be closer to family and Minnesota is a special place to him. How about we wish him the best and thank him instead of all the hate spewed on here. We will move on and find someone who's more than capable. Good luck Mark!
If that was the case, I thought he declined even being a candidate.I believe he is referring to Sean Frazier, Northern Illinois AD.

The timing could hardly be worse. The FB program was (edit) struggling. The bB coach was suspended and over 100 games vacated. We're coming off a lengthy NCAA investigation with continuing probation and sanctions. To add to those challenges, the institution is on the verge of a new campus master plan and (with any luck) major Dome renovation.Bet the Big 10 loves the opportunity to put it to an ACC program especially with the ACC meetings going on.
Has Nike caught up on their production of the color orange?I'm all for tradition, but I don't think Nike cares about the branding of our football team. We are always behind in getting new uniforms and never have anything "cutting" edge. Sure wearing Nike's playing Basketball might be important to some kids, but I really don't pay that close attention to Basketball.
