I alluded to this in another thread. I think RU fans just assumed that as long as they stayed below Schiano's salary, they would be fine. Over the weekend I was speculating that they are probably very restricted this time around.

Not sure they had much of a choice. If they couldn't bring in someone with a recognizable name (or a high potential coaching candidate like Cristobal), they had to name an HC ASAP. With signing day in a little over 24 hours, keeping a familiar face in the fold is infinitely better than not having a HC.
