What is the crowd looking like for the Wake game? I hope it is a pretty decent crowd for Coach Mac. I hope it's more than we would expect for a game vs Wake. It can't hurt that all these ESPN analysts are tweeting about the ceremony.

I hope at least 38k are in the seats. We'll see. A lot of fans are still in wait and see mode.

other than the Orange Out, so all you fools can wear blue...whats going on for Coach Mac??

I'm sorry I'll not be there. I'd hoped to drive out, partially to celebrate my birthday but moreso to pay tribute to Coach Mac. Unfortunately, family obligations make that impossible.

I'm hoping the lack of fallen leaves and an 80% chance of rain have a positive impact on attendance tomorrow.

Hopefully they make noise whoever is in there, the dome was so dead last week.

This is why the bleachers needed to be painted orange. The place would look so much more full.

I'm expecting 35-37k announced, 25-28k actual.

i hate that im writing this post, but if wake forest wins you can say goodbye to any respectable crowd for the year.

when i talk to people about going to the game so many say that they used to have season tickets or go to the games a lot. GROb killed a lot of enthusiasm about the program. i think also its easier for people to just watch the game at home as opposed to finding parking and walking up the hill or taking the bus from the parking lot.

i used to be in favor of an on campus stadium. but im now thinking parking and tailgating (ie a gameday experience) might be bigger draws. its just too bad theres not the space on campus

I may be the minority, but I've never loved tailgaiting in big parking lots. I'd much rather grab a pitcher at Chuck's and then stop into Varsity for a couple slices on the way up to the Dome, than sit around in a big parking lot. Less work, easier, change of scenery whenever you feel like it, etc. I like our more unique pregame setup. Stadiums in the middle of nowhere, with no bars or restaurants to walk to and nothing to see or look at but parking lots...that scene gets boring to me.

University just announced free admission for students to the Wake Forest game !!! Now lets hope AD Coyle changes the policy so students get in free to every football game.
Unless we have USMC Drill Instructors in the dorms/frat + sorority houses at 0900 to wake their butts up the crowd of students will be 50% of last week.

I'm gonna sound like the negative guy here, but I don't like this. A number of students already purchased seats, right? If I was a student fan and did I'd be pissed that everybody else was let in. Really, if you're not inclined to get season tix at the student rate in the first place, free admission to wake at noon isn't gonna actually make a difference anyway.

What they should do is roll the cost into student fee and let all in "free" every game.

Yea, I'm not sure how I feel about it. My kid got seasons for 6 games. Now 1/3 of those are free. I like that the student crowd will be better, but maybe they need to do something for those kids that already paid for these games. Tough call as both a parent and an SU fan that wants the biggest crowd possible.

BC because students are on thanksgiving break.

If we are 3-0 with 3 promising games in a row when LSU rolls into town we'll have a sellout!
