Curious to see

If guys are afraid of being pulled for doing something poorly, when that thing is the next guy’s specialty, it can impact their psyche. I read it all the time in the basketball board, where kids are afraid to make mistakes.

The difference is Shrader has yet to be pulled for making a mistake.

Bumping this with the recent article on TD coming out. Not saying Shrader will play better but wonder how the team reacts. Could see them rallying around the new QB1. Not sure if any guys on the team were team Tommy before he entered the portal, but have to imagine they will all in with Shrader now.

Not for nothing, but - it never really seemed like Tommy connected with his teammates like say Dungey did.

It can't help but be less of a distraction now moving forward.

As long as Shrader doesn't get injured, it seems like Dino is Ride or Die with him at this point.
And we know Jacobian is at least a serviceable backup, if/when needed.

PS - everybody who thinks Lamson is the double-secret QB2 - just, no.
He wasn't even here for Spring Ball. He's getting like no reps.
There's exactly zero point zero chance he gets into a game, unless Shrader AND Capt. Morgan are both out -
and even then, I think Dino would go w/ DM before Lamson.

Kind of a strange comment from Dino on Axe’s show yesterday. When asked about how GS may perform now that he isn’t looking over his shoulder at Tommy on the sideline, Dino said “we’ll have to see if we get a new Garett, the same Garrett or maybe not as good Garrett”.

kudos for the honesty but it’s interesting he chooses to say out loud that we could get a worse GS without Tommy looming in the wings.
