I really hate groupme... I've had to deal with that with sooo many school classes... Except SU classes as im not a grad.

Hey all, just as a public service announcement... The Luxor has self-parking, and I think it is $10 a day. I don't think you have to stay at the hotel to use it, so it may be beneficial for some that have vehicles and may be staying elsewhere (not at the tailgate with a car) to maybe park there and walk over. I'm not sure on how traffic is after the event, but I do know that bridge is usually closed over the highway from the Luxor/Excalibur/Mandalay Bay during games so easy walk over to the parking area etc.

FYI, the tram/shuttle also terminates dang close to it as well for a walk over.
I need to edit this! it is 18 bucks! What!

heat has been slow to leave. Friday tailgate now expected to be 98 degrees. We were 112 today in Phoenix. It is wearing on me.
It’s a dry heat.. maybe I’ll pick up a few spray bottles Thursday for yah!

Forecast temp now for Friday….

103
I don't grill in the summer, ever. I don't know who is manning the grills, but better make it just a quick grill. Not an ongoing thing. I don't know what the planned menu is. I know people are bringing coneys. For some heated items, pre cook at home, and then throw on the grill for a minute to heat it up and give it the final grill flavor.
Of course 103 is getting on the cooler end of summer in my hood. It is when it gets to the triple triples, which we have right now. 111, 112. And then there are those 118-120 days.
But prolonged being outdoors in 103 can be uncomfortable.

I’d wait for an email from Mark. I know he is driving today and he was coming up with a plan for the hot weather.

I'll be one of the grill team. We're keeping the menu simple and sticking to hot dogs and coneys. I'm coming from Utah and hear you on the need to not let ourselves get too hot grilling. I think we'll be ok.

I'm helping with the set up and got an email yesterday with the time. It is just to me. I'm not in the tailgate set up email as I was a later add on. But the time is still the same. I am probably one of those who should be most used to the heat, but also one who knows...

Yeaaaa, I owe upperdeck an apology for insisting that it wouldn't be in the 100s for the game lol. It usually wouldn't be, but the sun has been trying to kill us this summer.

Spoke to Mark on the phone a little bit ago. As VTAaron mentioned, Mark has all of our safety in mind and is coming up with a hot weather plan. He'll post something as soon as he gets off the road.

One thing to think about, if you have trouble in hot weather- the walk from Mandalay Bay, across the overpass, to the stadium might be tough pre game. Should be cooler post game as the sun will be set. No shame in ubering to the stadium.

Is anyone getting any work done this week? I was nothing more than a warm body at work today. One down, two to go.
I procrastinated the last hour or two, and tomorrow may be worse. I was doing mind numbing computer work too. My plane leaves 6am wed from Syracuse yay Jet Blue!
