In our 31-28 win over GT in 2024, Will made a real contribution. He had 58 all purpose yards on 10 touches.

Overall, he's a good check down back, which makes him valuable in a balanced offense... like in 2024.

This year, he seems to get used more in short yardage. I suspect this has to do with Yash playing more hurt than we know. That's not his strength.

Don't forget that Will had several screws put into his foot after his injury last year. He's been a warrior. He deserves our support.

There are a million things to critique Nixon about this season before I'd get to this one.

And I'm usually one to jump on board the anti-nepotism bandwagon.

He is a decent back. Was much better when we ran a pass first offense with lots of check downs to the running back. May have lost a bit with his injury last year. Doesn’t seem like we use his best attributes now in the current offense. I would like to see the freshman Tylik Hill start to get an increased chunk of the carries. But I don’t know how well he know the playbook and assignments though.

But it’s definitely not at the point where I’d call out OC Nixon for his PT yet.

Our RB room seems less than adequate. That’s the bigger issue. You can say that about most of our position groups too. As bad as the QB has been, this team still lacks overall talent and depth. Need to keep recruiting better players or this will never completely turn around. Brown seems to be doing that. Let’s hope he’s able to continue at a high level.

I liked Nixon before his injury but thought he was being overused.

This year he isn’t as good a RB IMO and is still being overused. Ideally world he is your #3 RB.

Don’t forgot last year we brought in another coach’s son as QB2 instead of getting a legit option.
