That's not what I meant.

Just because you receive interest from a school doesn't mean you are going to receive a scholarship offer.

There are a billion letters sent out by college sport programs - not all of them are worthy of scholarship offers.

Not to be snarky but are you speaking from experience? As In were you, your team mates, kids, etc ever on the receiving end of recruiting interest? For the "billions" of letters sent out there are quite a few very good athletes that never even get that much attention much less calls or visits.

Kielan, welcome to the Orange family. Looking forward to seeing you compete for playing time.
The juice is flowing as we close out this recruiting cycle! HCSS and crew are on fire.
Got to love it!

Not a bad late pickup but I like it better when we flip recruits from Wisconsin and Michigan-

Watching his highlights I see good things. He didnt have a bunch of Power 5 offers because he doesnt show alot of speed. What he do show is great hips. Ive coached DB's for along time and the first thing I look for in a DB is hips. He transitions in zone coverage very well. Whitner has a smooth fluid back pedal too. He takes good tackling angles but he needs to do a better job at finishing tackles. What he looks like to me a another Darius Kelly but with out the speed. I think he can also play corner because of his hips but he is probably best suited for safety. Coaches know what they are doing. He can be the Alec lemon of defense

I was hoping that we would land this kid. Really good pick up. I love getting kids from the App States, Georgia States and Troys of the world as they always have solid talent and teams. There is so much talent in the south good to see us hitting it hard.

been plenty of real fast kids on the hill who didnt do squat- and a few slower kids who played lights out

aint about speed as much as brains drive and reaction some times

"A few slower kids who played lights out".

Steve Largent comes to mind.

I have a good feeling about this addition to the class. I hate to use a basketball reference but could he be footballs Hakim Warrick and Najee Clayton the Julius Hodge of 2015? Clayton's decision just reeks of "poor judgement".
