Maryland and Rutgers - wow what was Delaney thinking? When digital takes over or cable is unbundled you are stuck with these two dudes and neither one can play BB. I personally think this is going to look very dumb in five years.

He was thinking he screwed up trying to force ND into the B1G and passing on Syracuse, Pitt and Mizzou. Then when GATch, UVA and UNC turned him down, he had to do something to save face. He had long stated he wanted an east coast presence. The B1G will be fine, PSU stayed, Michigan, OSU, SU and Michigan State all get 2 guaranteed wins annually so they will look good on paper.

It was intentional, almost like adding two MAC teams, thus allowing their existing teams to play about 6 MAC teams a year to become bowl-eligible.
