So WoadBlue what do you think about your new/old coach? Do you think he can turn things around at UNC?and good D starts on and requires a very good DL. David Hale likes the Syracuse DL.
In recruiting he already has. Fedora seemed nearly indifferent to recruiting on the D side, and players stayed away. Mack is reeling in quality prospects.
I hope his coordinators keep him up with the times cause at Texas he had soooooo much talent and stopped winning and it seemed the new college football passed him bye. I ain’t 100 percent positive of that but that’s how it looks. He always has brought in talent. In recruiting he already has. I also like his 2 coordinators, especially DC Bateman, who came from Army.
We are coming off a 2 win season preceded by a 3 win season. We lack depth at most positions, and we have nearly a entire team that has never won in college. Our QB corps is made up of a true freshman and 2 redshirt freshmen.
We should win no more than 4, maybe 5 with a dose of luck. But 6 wins would not be a great surprise to me. And the future looks bright.
That’s really an incredible visual representation of the success Baber’s has had upgrading the talent at SU. Difficult to imagine really.
That has always been the only real drawback for Mack, keeping him from winning more than he has. At UNC, he floundered with OCs.I hope his coordinators keep him up with the times cause at Texas he had soooooo much talent and stopped winning and it seemed the new college football passed him bye. Based purely on proven returning talent the OL is way overrated and the DB is way underrated. Everything else looks pretty reasonable, although I'd still put Clemson and Miami ahead of our DL since we're losing a lot of double teams and experience without Slayton.
I would say tie with Clemson and as I have said before our dline is gonna murder people. I keep saying it but Ruff is different than Slayton in the way they play. Slayton will hold a double in one spot where Ruff is explosive and will get past first blocker. He won’t stop doubles all the time but he will make more plays overall . Black is one of the best looking dline men I have seen in body fat percentage. Kids a beast and if Williams makes progress like I think he will we are gonna be freaking awesome barring injury.Based purely on proven returning talent the OL is way overrated and the DB is way underrated. I love the enthusiasm. I just hope TD has secret service protection from now until he graduates... or until we at least have a backup we can get excited about.I would say tie with Clemson and as I have said before our dline is gonna murder people. Part of last year Td was coming to throw the hell out of the ball. We had no other way to win. The big thing I see is we had a run game but some teams would still only stack box with 6 guys which should be a run choice every time and we did ok but not enough to make them put 7 in the box to open up the pass. This year with serv at tackle Davis guard 340 Heckel 310 c Adams at 350 and who ever at rt. That’s a mofo big ass line. Also Adams will turn into a stud. Him and Neal will be amazing this year which opens everything for TD. He will be protected more so because last year it didn’t seam that we had a ton of hot reads when teams were blitzing. I think they figured Ed feet would get him out of it and not to say Td s can’t but let him sling it. I can’t wait for this team to play aggressive lights out o and d and specials. The pieces are there now we have to fit them together and stay healthy. Go orange.I love the enthusiasm. Yep, having the ability to run the ball will make TD's transition a much smoother more efficient process. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 60/40 run to pass ratio...especially early in the season.Bingo ! Give this man a cigar !
The run pass will depend on our O line . Balance is always the goal . We will have much different passing options installed that much I can tell youYep, having the ability to run the ball will make TD's transition a much smoother more efficient process.
