Nothing less than at least one entity needs to have a Devo standing on a table statue or it's a societal fail.

He can join Madonna and John List in the Bay City Hall of Fame.

You would expect the Bay City Rollers too, but apparently they weren’t impactful enough, or there is more than one Bay City.

If I recall, the Bay City Rollers were from Scotland. Not sure how they got their name or perhaps there is a Scottish Bay City.

I didn't know that Madonna was born there but I do know she grew up closer to the northern suburbs of Detroit.

I know that I am failing a Cognitive Decline Test when I know trivia about a D-List Scottish pop band but I can't remember what I just had for breakfast...

If Wikipedia is to be believed, they got their name in classic fashion.....

"Desiring a better name for the band, they settled on "Rollers", but needed a more powerful American-sounding term in front of that. Derek Longmuir threw a dart at a map of the United States, landing first on Arkansas. This did not meet anyone's approval, so a second dart was thrown. It landed near Bay City, Michigan. The band agreed on the name, the Bay City Rollers."
