Kevin Rice (36G, 44A) Rice’s improvement between 2013 and ’14 was a main contributing factor in the Orange’s emergence as a national title contender last season. One of the best ways to describe the 5-8 senior’s game is “compact”; his explosiveness in small spaces between X and GLE comes from his quick stride and heads-up play, which puts him in a position to move the ball with surprise.

Randy Staats (33G, 23A) Staats is a near opposite of Rice; instead of being compact, Staats plays taller than his 6-2 frame, using the body armor he wears on his left arm and shoulder to lean into his defender and peer over the top of him. From there, the senior looks for backside cutters and throws in a dramatic BTB shot when the opportunity presents itself.

Dylan Donahue (37G, 17A) A redshirt junior, Donahue plays incredibly smart off Rice and Staats, frequently finding himself in space on the crease for a catch and finish or in a dangerous position on the backside, where he can move the ball to a shooter with an open look. He’s a lefty who can play all over the field
