Can’t wait to hear that voice again.
So happy for him. I've told the story before that we sat one table from him in a restaurant in South Beach. He ended up sending me a box that consisted of a signed book, signed photos and articles just because I mentioned that my nephew played hoops. He and his wife were like the nicest people. But it was a little different when we ran into Luis Gonzalez in a casino in Vegas. Extremely nice but we had to ditch him after 20 minutes because he wouldn't stop talking and we would have been stuck talking with him for hours.
I don’t care what anyone says about him, he is an absolute treasure, when he isn’t calling games anymore it will be a dark day for college basketball.
I agree. Vitale and Raf are old school guys who bring excitement to the sport. I appreciate analysts with deep knowledge like Bilas, but you also need color commentators with some personality.I don’t care what anyone says about him, he is an absolute treasure, when he isn’t calling games anymore it will be a dark day for college basketball.
That pregame was tough.
It was a nice moment. And he went into game mode quickly. He’s a pro, loves this game like no other.
Dickie needs to be careful because of COVID. Keep people away from him.
Get busy living or get busy dying .. gooooooo MR V !!The guy has guts just to get on an airplane, and then go to a packed arena without a mask, during this pandemic. He was doing chemotherapy last week, which tends to lower your resistance to all sorts of bugs. I like the guy. I hope he isn’t taking a crazy chance by doing this.
Agreed. The love and passion he has for the game (and charitable causes) makes it impossible to dislike him as a personI don’t care what anyone says about him, he is an absolute treasure, when he isn’t calling games anymore it will be a dark day for college basketball.
Oh yeah i shed some man tearsThat pregame was tough.
I would guess there is concern that at least some of the lesions are malignant.Vitale: "While my throat continues to heal, I need to shut it down for the season"
