"RUTGERS 15 Days of Practice" on the SNY Network. Essentially Rutgers took it upon themselves to do their own version of "HARD KNOCKS" during Spring Practice and they put a 90 min show on SNY.
It is essentially a 90 min infomercial for Rutgers football. Well produced and put together very well. It led to the Spring Game where they showed prior to the game they had tables all around the field with current NFL players from Rutgers and past Rutgers players signing autographs for all the fans.
Look we can all pick on Rutgers for being delusional (which they are) and crack jokes on them, but this was a very good thing they did here. And while our football coach Lt. Marrone is closing practices, running to Rochester for the first open practice for the fans, and starting Spring games early before the Fans show up, Rutgers is having its own version of Hard Knocks aired to the world and shows how their spring game celebrates their football program. While our spring games starts early before anyone is there and is a mad rush afterwards cause a lacrosse game needs to get on the field. It shows how one program is very fan friendly and one isn't.
Now you can hate on me and call me names for saying nice things about Rutgers here, but in this one aspect that is a program that "get's it." Now they are gonna die a death in the Big East while SU is making millions in the ACC, but on this one area Rutgers "get's it" and does a better job.
