Luke Bryan?Luke MacPhail?
Luke Bryan?Luke MacPhail?
I’ll say Ryan Puglisi. Highly rated backup QB for Georgia that is from Connecticut. Is this not the Jakhari thread?
Anyways, heard a name today as competition for Jakhari. Not a McCord type of situation, but high upside and would make a lot sense to bring him in. Not going to post until.

That’s a good thought. Two others he’s competing with on campus and another coming in January.I’ll say Ryan Puglisi. Highly rated backup QB for Georgia that is from Connecticut.
Portal? Or recruitIs this not the Jakhari thread?

What a disaster this would be
I'm just to going drop this here...a hunch with no insider information. I would be surprised, but not shocked, if NCST QB CJ Bailey enters the portal and ends up here. Something about the way Fran and Bailey interacted after the game that has stuck with me. Crazy...I know.
Also I absolutely hate the idea of fran not hitting the portal again. Not smart
Wow. I literally just pulled that name out of the sky without doing any research.Puglisi is being followed on Twitter by:
-Coach ERob
-Coach Camapanile
-SU Director of scouting Aaron Mannicci
-Mike McAllister
He is following Stack Williams, although that may have predated Williams coming to SU.
Relative to their positionsCompletely different positions
Now …. Are any of these recent follows? Like within the last month or two? Lol this is hilarious how we put so much stock into a follow on social media, but it often time does lead to the truth about who Cuse is targetingPuglisi is being followed on Twitter by:

We need a pass rusher. Truthfully, our DL struggled with both rushing the passer and stopping the run, though injuries didn't help there.Fran will be hitting the portal but it won’t be like last year.
He’s starting to get his guys into place.
I am sure we will go after the holes we have but don’t expect a complete rehaul of the team like we did last season.
Fran is pretty smart dude and really has a plan of what he is going to do.
So far, I’ve been incredibly impressed by him. Think that continues in this offseason as well
Can always watch Jakhari in Bowl game to see if he has it cause McCord probably isnt playing. If he kicks ass then we good and if not well portal. So the question is if Jakhari isn't Manning our qb spot who is?
No inside info here. Part of me truly believes if SU upsets Miami Kyle will play in the bowl game.I understand Kyle said he wants to play in the bowl game. Absolutely nobody would fault him for sitting and that seems most likely, but I wouldn't assume either way at this point.
I also do think Fran will hit the portal regardless of Jakhari's development. Dude is a winner and winners at this level look for every possible advantage they can get.
I think it's great news. Kid was highly recruited. Dad is an excellent OC. I would be thrilled to have them both back next season. What a disaster this would be
Yeah he isn’t going to start next year, would love to have him back for depthI think it's great news. Kid was highly recruited. Dad is an excellent OC. I would be thrilled to have them both back next season.
If you’re the HC, you bring in Johnson as the perennial back up. If you lose McCord, you ride with Johnson and preserve Williams. Why do we assume that WIlliams and not Johnson is the starter?
We don't really know who the true #2 is do we?
It’s a great way to build a relationship and help out a fellow coach. Have Johnson fulfill his dream of playing QB. Dad and son are happy. Both understand the reality of being the back up.I can see that.. He also made a point of saying how the other teams forced Johnson to play RB because of the issues that had and they he was hurt and this is his first extended QB practice in an along time.
Honestly, I think that would be a horrible decision and with the lineup of heavy hitters next year will set back all the progress. I think Johnson can be a suitable spot starter, but if Fran isn't close to certain Williams is that guy I am hitting the portal hard. Even if he does think he is, i'm still hitting the portal hard with those big games early in season. If you’re the HC, you bring in Johnson as the perennial back up. If you lose McCord, you ride with Johnson and preserve Williams.
Seems like that’s the plan and would indicate Williams is next in line.
