Jakhari Williams

Im just not a fan of people dismissing a player they’ve never seen play.

I have no clue if JW is better than Ricky Collins but I’m not gonna say we can’t play him because he’s young. He’s here to play football.

I mean, Eric Dungey acquitted himself quite well as a true Frosh when he unexpectedly got thrown into game action far sooner than expected.

And he was pretty skinny coming outta HS,
not the bruising LB build he had as a Sr for that magical 10 win season.

Jakhari, Rickie, and Carney all have legit P4 QB builds already.
And the first 2 have some P4 experience and a year of S&C under their belts also.

IF Fran doesn’t think one of these young men is The Man, there’s still the portal to be mined if need be.

Exactly, one of those 3 will be our starter.

We aren’t getting a McCord every year

Williams throws a nice catchable football and I can't wait to see how he plays against a defense and has to make quick decisions.

I don't know why but he just makes me think of Bridgewater from Louisville when he throws but it's hard to get a good read on warmups.

Let's hope that turns out to be the case!

Sometimes leaders have to step in to fill a vacancy. Let's see if he's too old to pull it off.
Gameday would for sure come to watch an old ESPN boss throwing darts all over the field

I feel like at Wildhack's height he'd need to put a little air under the ball.

Bump.
Well, can JW do it?
Does he have the physical and mental tools?
What's the scuttlebutt on what he's shown so far?
Looking forward to Spring Ball's QB comp.
He's got the size.
He's got the arm.

The rest will have to be seen.
He'll definitely get a chance and I'm optimistic that he'll get it done.
