Dino…Purdue?

Yes Purdue is going to pay a buyout and give a big money deal to a coach whose a dozen games under .500 in his career at Syacuse and is something like 6-24 in the month of November. There's a better chance of one of the posters in this thread getting the job than Babers.
Cinnci went from playing in the CFP to hiring Satterfield as a head coach, so stranger things happen

The Athletic's @BruceFeldmanCFB has Dino Babers as a top candidate to replace Jeff Brohm at Purdue.

He cites Babers' past as a WR coach there and his success in the region while at UEI and Bowling Green.

He named almost many candidates who are his suggestions. Babers is at the top because he listed them alphabetically. His list is his opinion and nothing to do with what Purdue is thinking.

Hows that a bad hire for Cincy when their superstar coach move on? He won right away at Lville and its the same recruiting area. They are about to step up in conference what should they do take a chance on a directional coach or promote an assistant?

my point was if a CFP team (bound for the Big12) can take a .500 coach (who was going to be on the hot seat next year), a middle-tier Big 10 team can as well

Totally disagree. If he's 7-5, he's back.
Couldn't agree more. 7-5 is actually a very good season for us with almost no qualifiers. This could be one of the toughest jobs in P5 football. Edit: and for the record, I'm not a particularly big Dino fan. Just if he gets us to 6 or 7 wins, he's getting an extension, not getting fired.

If Purdue has the money to buyout Dino and offer him a huge contract, then they would go for Bill O'Brien. Did well turning around PSU.

This is starting to get traction. Maybe it’s why both of Dino’s coordinators left yesterday…

Why would White leave knowing he would have a great chance at being named head coach?

Maybe JW said he wants a coach with HC experience? Who knows but the whole thing stinks

What traction? Everybody’s just reiterating what the writer said. Besides there’s a new article about the 3 targets. Dino’s not one.

If he goes he goes. It’ll be for big money. Nothing will stop this.

My point is we can’t compete financially w the big 10.
