I’m not sure how this team could take Maryland lightly after comparing performances last week. SU was mediocre at best last week and Maryland dropped 79 points. You have to question the leadership on this team. Seniors have to decide what kind of team they want to be.

Getting the vibe that the team couldn’t get focused or overlooked the opponent this week is pretty disappointing. It’s week 2 on the road against a B1G school when you’re technically the underdog going in and you don’t take it serious/no show? Suggests we aren’t nearly as ready for sustained success as we hoped.

Another interesting note about 4 minutes in. He mentioned how when you win and you tell them that’s not how you do stuff they don’t always listen. Compounded with what was said above and I gotta believe the Players were over confident and not fully listening. A loss, while horrible, will go a long way to making these kids listen

That’s a coaching issue. Dino has left programs after they got to the top. He may not be familiar w coaching a team w real expectations out of the gate. Learning experience for him. He will figure it out but I suspect this is on him for the start not 18-22 year old kids

Some leaders like Dungey are born others are made. TD has the opportunity to become one. He’s not one right now. Any Joe blow off the street can see that. No extrapolation needed.

This falls on the coaches and the players. Maryland beat Howard by 79 points. We shutout Liberty by 24. Everyone expected a good game. Look at the spread for crying out loud. This does not fall on Devito’s shoulders. The team and coaches were obviously not prepared today. I hope for much better in the near future.

i'm hoping tommy devito gained A TON of experience cuz his decisions were extraordinarily awful today.

Tommy had some bad plays, but he did a lot of good things today. Some of his downfield strikes were things of beauty. He had 1 pick, 330 yards, 71% completion and 3 TD's. We were running the ball pretty well early, and he was connecting (other than the fumble). The problem was we GOT DOWN HUGE. That changes the game-plan - we had to start throwing it more and they started overplaying our WR's. This loss is on the defense, and more particularly on the DL and the LB's - neither of whom gave us a chance today. Lakeim is going to be good but he's not ready .. and the other LB's were AWOL.
