Fans dont need to understand anything, we’ve had 20 years of this being drilled into us.
Babers begins by sending his thoughts to the Virginia football program. Babers says it is an emotional situation for everyone in SU’s building.
Babers said the team went into “deep meetings” after the loss to FSU, but there won’t be a change in who calls plays.
Babers on if watching the tape changed his opinion on whether starting QB Garrett Shrader Saturday was the correct decision: “Not at all.”
Babers on if FB Chris Elmore is returning next year after the sixth year senior participated in the senior walk: “I know, but I wish you would ask Chris.”
Babers on offensive line depth: “We have some guys we can rotate in there, but not as many as some would think.”
Babers on his message to fans: “The fan base needs to understand that we’re all disappointed about what happened on Saturday. That’s not a direct representation of what we’ve done this year.”
He needs to take ownershipThe fact he thinks it was the right call to play GS like that after that debacle is mind blowingu
He doesn't, he just won't admit it. Dino has gotten increasingly more defensive and unwilling to admit mistakes. The fact he thinks it was the right call to play GS like that after that debacle is mind blowing

That's not taking responsibility, those are just words spoken in generalities. That's easy. Just about any coach says that because they think it's the right thing to say. What many fans would like him to do is take responsibility by stating actual things he didn't do right or prepare for. That's taking responsibility, not just words.
Surprising/disappointing that still no one asked about Dino not taking a timeout in the end.

Just like it may be hard for you to see with those orange peels you got over your eyesSome people only see or hear what they want to see or hear.
Ok, he said it starts with him. Let’s see things actually change then. Considering after watching the tape he said it didn’t change his decision to play GS it’s clear he doesn’t think things need to changeHe did.
That or the staff is aware that 50% of Shrader is currently a better option than 100% of CDRW.Ok, he said it starts with him. Let’s see things actually change then. Considering after watching the tape he said it didn’t change his decision to play GS it’s clear he doesn’t think things need to change

Well, we have all seen that 50% of Shrader is 100% useless.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result.
Shrader has been rendered completely ineffective by his injuries.
That's not gonna magically change this week, after several hours of being slammed around by big fat dudes on Sat.

They ran Wilson out against Pitt and it was awful.

Come on bro. It was his first game as a freshman starter on the road at Pitt, a good defensive team. He wasn't awful against ND. Shrader has been awful in his last 3 games.
They could have at least inserted him mid 3rd with the lets see what happens mantra. When Shrader left the game in the late 4th he'd QB'd 115 yards of total offense.
