Dino's Game 11 Press Conference | Wake

There is a real possibility that Shrader leaves after this year, leaving us with an inexperienced QB taking over. This past Saturday presented an opportunity early in the 3rd quarter to get CDRW some valuable experience that would not have changed the outcome but may pay dividends next year. That was my issue with not pulling Shrader earlier. Same with putting Allen in for Tucker. FSU had their second team in for at least a few drives down the stretch.
Things are at its darkest point right now and because we can’t get first downs it feels like the sky is falling. I still think we beat BC and maybe win our bowl game with all of the rest and extra practices. I don’t think Shrader is leaving, no way.

Sure, but they also did that after their first loss too.

Maybe they’ve done it after every loss.

It doesn’t have to be Dino making the problem for there to be a problem. There are position coaches as well - some of whom allegedly were put in a position of developing the offensive Game plan or playcalling last year. Of course you’d think a head coach would put a stop to that immediately …

My goodness, Bees. Dino has mentioned this issue twice in press conferences. And in each instance he specifically discussed play calling.

But you're suggesting that there is no issue? Even though the head coach has repeatedly said there is?

Where did I say there wasn’t an issue? I specifically said deep meetings. Hell, read any game thread. Everyone complains about play calling and Anae. So now why is it a negative that Babers has “deep” meetings. And maybe not you, but several people have claimed Dino is messing with the offense and maybe even taken over play calling. Where’s that evidence. It’s not contrarian to think it’s not abnormal for the HC wanting to review/discuss issues on the field.

Anyone that can make Garrett shrader a 150 rating passer with his arm and these wr has to be damn good at what he does
Yea and then all of a sudden the entire offense collapses. That’s not only a GS injury, it’s probably because there are issues between Dino and Anae. This is conjecture on my behalf of course, but that would make a whole lot of sense.

Then why are you challenging what I posted? I wasn't "complaining" about playcalling, nor did I suggest that Dino has inserted himself into play calling. I observed that there seems to be internal disagreement on the process, since Dino himself has mentioned just that in press conferences.

It's not weird to me that there would be re-evaluation of the O given the paltry output of late. It is weird to me that there seems to be some lingering degree of internal contentiousness on the process. We just finished game #10, the season is nearly over. That kind of problem should have been long since solved.

Reviewing the work of a subordinate is not “taking over”

These “people have claimed” did they watch the games from the 300 level, their couch or we’re they on the sidelines wearing headphones?

Dino taking over or being more involved in play calling is a logical theory because it seems like a different person is doing it now. But it is of course just speculation.

There was an interview with Dino before the season where he said he was blending his and Anne’s offense together. Maybe they’re using more of Dino’s the last 4 games?

If we come out against Wake and run up the middle on 1st and 2nd down and throw a bomb down the sidelines on 3rd we’ll know who’s calling the plays

Send everyone all the time at him. What is shrader going to do now that he's a statue?

The way some talk so definitively you would think they are on the sidelines, in the locker room, in the coaches offices etc.

The offense has collapsed mainly because of the injuries to both Shrader and Tucker who were the key to the whole thing. It’s not even close to any other reason.

Read your first post that I replied too.

He could run the statue of liberty to perfection then.

Which is why SU might want to use the players that are healthy.
Id rather have a 100% Wilson and Allen then Tucker and Shrader as banged up as they are

Yeah they already tried with them gutting it out and it doesn't work. If you're going nowhere, go young and hopefully get growing pains over with
